State of the School Address for Trinity High School: 2025-2026 Academic Year

Dear Trinity High School Family,

As we open the 2025–2026 academic year, I am filled with immense gratitude and pride for all that we continue to accomplish together in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our mission, deeply rooted in the Gospel values, and the Franciscan charisma continues to thrive as we form young men and women in faith, scholarship, leadership, and service.

We begin this year with historic momentum. On Tuesday, August 19, we will welcome over 500 beautiful students into our school community, the largest enrollment in over 20 years. This remarkable growth is a testament to the strength of our mission, the dedication of our faculty and staff, and the unwavering support of our families and benefactors.

In response to this growth, Trinity High School has added eight new teaching positions for the 2025–2026 school year. These new educators represent a wide range of professional and cultural backgrounds, reflecting the beautiful diversity of our student body and the broader communities we serve.

This year also marks an exciting new chapter for our students in the medical and information technology fields. With the generous support of the Howley Foundation, Trinity proudly launches a strengthened Medical Certification Program and IT Certification Program. We have invested in a new medical simulation lab, fully outfitted hospital training room, and industry-standard medical education equipment. The crown jewel of this initiative is the Anatomage Virtual Cadaver Table—an extraordinary teaching tool that will place our students at the forefront of medical education at the high school level.

To accommodate our expanding student body and growing academic programs, we completed significant renovations over the summer. We have opened the last of our available physical spaces, transforming them into a new state-of-the-art Graphic Design Center, two additional classrooms, and an updated and welcoming faculty lounge.

I am also pleased to report that Trinity High School continues to operate with a strong financial foundation, independently audited and certified by the accounting firm of Maloney and Novotny. Our fiscal responsibility ensures that every dollar supports our mission, our students, and the continued excellence of our spiritual, academic and athletic programs.

Trinity continues to rise as a destination school for families across the southeastern communities of Cleveland. We are blessed with a student body that is vibrant, diverse, and faithful. We stand strong because of the unshakable commitment of our families, the tireless devotion of our faculty and staff, the visionary leadership of our Board of Trustees, and the prayerful support of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Third Order of St. Francis.

Together, we will continue to shape the minds, hearts, and spirits of the 500 students entrusted to our care—young men and women who will go forth to lead, to serve, and to bear witness to the light of Christ in our world. We humbly ask for your continued prayers as they grow in faith and purpose on their journeys.

May God bless our new school year with peace, joy, and purpose.
Peace and all good,

Mr. William J. Svoboda
